Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope (RI)

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope is a Catholic classical school that forms students in the liberal arts and in the Chesterton model. We seek a faith-filled educational leader to serve as Headmaster, partnering with the Executive Director and reporting to the Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities
-- Provide educational and spiritual leadership; communicate and implement the school's mission and vision.
-- Oversee all academic operations, curriculum implementation (Catholic classical liberal arts / Chesterton School Network), and student formation.
-- Mentor and supervise Deans and faculty; lead academic hiring with administrative support.
-- Support student life systems (discipline, prefects, house system), liturgies (daily Mass, prayer), and opportunities for Confession.
-- Lead recruitment, admissions interviews, and family outreach; represent the school to prospective and current families.
-- Collaborate with leadership on development, community outreach, budget oversight, safety/emergency planning, and extracurriculars.
-- Attend Board meetings and provide regular reports.

Qualifications
-- Practicing Catholic in good standing; strong witness to the faith.
-- Deep commitment to Catholic classical education and student formation.
-- 3-5 years secondary teaching experience and 2+ years school administrative experience (Master's preferred).
-- Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and organizational skills; familiarity with school operations, budgeting, and compliance.
