CYO tournament champions

Each year, throughout the months December to February, teams from parishes and grammar schools of the Archdioceses of Boston compete in the various Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) basketball leagues. At the culmination of each season, the top winning teams from each of the divisions are invited to participate in the annual New England Region 1 CYO basketball tournament.

This March, of the 117 grammar-school teams and 102 parish teams that participated in the 2018-2019 season, 65 of the boys' and girls' teams were invited to play in the tournament this year. Games were held at Malden Catholic High School, Ursuline Academy, St. Joseph Preparatory High School, and St. John's Preparatory School.

Following is a list of all of the archdiocesan tournament champions in order of each division.

Parish Division Champions: St. Adelaide, Peabody, 5th/6th Grade Girls; St. Adelaide, Peabody, 7th/8th Grade Girls; St. Agatha, Milton, 5th/6th Grade Boys; St. Margaret Mary, Westwood, 7th/8th Grade Boys; Gate of Heaven, South Boston, 9th/10th Grade Boys; St. Catherine, Norwood, High School Girls; Natick Catholic Collaborative, Natick, High School Boys.

Catholic Grammar School Champions: St. Raphael, Medford, 5th/6th Grade Girls; Immaculate Conception, Newburyport, 7th/8th Grade Girls; St. Charles, Woburn, 5th/6th Grade Boys; Immaculate Conception, Revere, 7th/8th Grade Boys.

These teams moved on to the New England CYO Regional Basketball Tournament, which was hosted by the Diocese of Manchester, New Hampshire, from March 29-31. There, St. Margaret Mary's Parish of Westwood, 7th/8th Grade Boys won their NECYO division, as did the High School Boys Intermediate Parish team from the Natick Catholic Collaborative.
