QUINCY -- Over 400 people are expected to attend the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation 2016 Annual Gala, Feb. 25, to support the foundation's outreach programs in Haiti.

The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide social services and health care to the community of Saint Rock, Haiti. Founded in 2002, the organization runs several community outreach programs, including a micro-loan program, a shelter program, and an educational sponsorship program.

Sponsored in part by St. Agatha Parish Global Outreach Ministry, this year's Annual Gala will be held at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, and will treat guests to a dinner, a silent auction, and talks from two speakers.

Dr. Rushika Fernandopulle, co-founder and CEO of Iora Health, will be the keynote speaker, while the special guest speaker will be Dr. Jean Kenes Eloy, SRHF Centre de Sante Medical Director.

Last year, the gala raised over $200,000 for the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation, and 94 percent of those funds went directly to community outreach programs and medical and dental clinic operations.

Proceeds from this year's gala, themed Building Hope Together, will be used to continue to support health care at the Saint Rock Clinic and community outreach initiatives, with a special focus on increasing diagnostic capabilities with better lab equipment, training, and staff support.

"Our goal is to help stop the cycle of human suffering by providing quality and dignified health care. Better diagnostics will help us get there," said Jocelyn Bresnahan, President of SRFH in a press release.

The Flatley Foundation in Braintree has pledged to match all funds raised from the gala.

The gala's Master of Ceremonies will be NECN reporter Eileen Curran, and Mary and Stephen Wessling of Wessling Architects in Quincy will act as this year's honorary chairs.

Any ticket purchased gets entered into a grand raffle, with the top prize being "a guided all expenses paid trip for two to Saint Rock and other historic and cultural sites of Haiti," organizers wrote on the website.
