NEW YORK (CNS) -- Here are some television program notes for the week of Jan. 5 with their TV Parental Guidelines ratings if available. They have not been reviewed and therefore are not necessarily recommended by Catholic News Service.

Sunday, Jan. 5, 10-11 p.m. EST (EWTN) "Metanoia." Franciscan University of Steubenville's president, Franciscan Father Dave Pivonka, explores how Christians continue to undergo metanoia, or "ongoing conversion," to become who God wants them to be. Featuring panelists Scott Hahn and Regis Martin and host Bob Rice. Part of the series "Franciscan University Presents" (TV-G -- general audience).

Monday, Jan. 6, 4-6 a.m. EST (EWTN) "Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord." Mass of the Epiphany with Pope Francis, broadcast live from St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. The liturgy will be rerun 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (TV-G -- general audience).

Monday, Jan. 6, 9-11 p.m. EST (PBS) "McCarthy." A look at the rise and fall of Joseph McCarthy, the notorious senator who led a Cold War crusade against communists. An "American Experience" presentation (TV-PG -- parental guidance suggested).

Tuesday, Jan. 7, 10:30-11:30 p.m. EST (PBS) "Targeting El Paso." This episode of the series "Frontline" examines how El Paso, Texas, became President Trump's immigration testing ground and then the target of a white supremacist.
