NEW YORK (CNS) -- Here are some television program notes for the week of May 20 with their TV Parental Guidelines ratings if available. They have not been reviewed and therefore are not necessarily recommended by Catholic News Service.

Sunday, May 20, 4-6 a.m. EDT (EWTN) "Solemn Mass of Pentecost From Rome." Live broadcast from St. Peter's Basilica as Pope Francis celebrates the Solemn Mass of Pentecost, followed by the "Regina Coeli" prayer. The events will be rerun noon-2 p.m. EDT (TV-G -- general audience).

Tuesday, May 22, 8-10 p.m. EDT (PBS) "The Great American Read." This special examines the power, passion and joy of reading through the lens of America's 100 best-loved books.

Thursday, May 24, 7-9:30 a.m. EDT (EWTN) "National Catholic Prayer Breakfast." Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at this annual event, broadcast live from Washington. The program will be rerun Saturday, May 26, 2-4:30 p.m. EDT (TV-G -- general audience).

Thursday, May 24, 8-9 p.m. EDT (Fox) "Terrence Howard's Fright Club." Actor Terrence Howard hosts this special in which a group of his fans travel to New Orleans to meet the star at his remote estate, only to become the victims of an elaborate practical joke (TV-14/L/V -- parents strongly cautioned; strong coarse language; intense violence).

Friday, May 25, 9-11 p.m. EDT (PBS) "The Opera House." A look back at the Metropolitan Opera's move to its current Lincoln Center home and its place in the life of 1950s-1960s New York City. A "Great Performances" presentation (TV-G -- general audience).
