Father Gerald C. Hayes (April 17) in Houma, La. Funeral Mass celebrated April 26 at Saint Joseph Co-Cathedral, Thibodaux, La. for the son of the late John and Mary (Kane) Hayes. During 53 years of priestly ministry, the Boston native served in parish assignments at Saint Louis, Metarie; Saint Genevieve, Thibodaux; Saint Leo, New Orleans; Holy Family, Grand Gaillou; and Saint Anthony of Padua, Bayou Black, all in Louisiana. Father Hayes was entombed in the Priests�f Tomb, Saint Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, La.

Msgr. Eugene P. McNamara (April 16) in Waltham. Funeral Mass celebrated April 22 at Saint Mary Church, Waltham for the son of the late James and Mary (Walsh) McNamara and brother of Judith Mumford, Westwood and Sheila Breen of Waltham. Since his ordination on Sept. 29, 1953 he served in several archdiocesan assignments including Catholic Charities. Msgr. McNamara was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.

Joseph R. Nolan (April 23) in Belmont.
